Basketball Team To Face Auburn in Mobile

Marshall University's men's basketball team will be looking for its sixth consecutive win Saturday, when it meets Auburn University in the night cap of the Coors Classic at the University of South Alabama's Mitchell Center in Mobile, Ala.
The Coors Classic, now in its third year, is a men's college basketball doubleheader that features four of the nation's top programs annually.
The opening game, set for 5 p.m. CST/6 p.m. EST, features host South Alabama, winners of four of the last five Sun Belt Conference Championships, versus last season's NCAA Tournament qualifier Georgia.
The second game, which will start at approximately 7:35 p.m. CST, pits Southeastern Conference member Auburn (4-3) against Marshall (5-3). The event is co-sponsored by Coors and the GMAC Bowl, and will be televised by Comcast Sports Southeast.
The basketball doubleheader is the kickoff event for GMAC Bowl Week. The bowl game, now in its third year, will be played Dec. 19 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, matching Conference USA's East Carolina Pirates against the Mid-American Conference's nationally-ranked Marshall Thundering Herd.
