Men's Basketball Travels to Western Michigan

Marshall University?s men?s basketball team will look to improve to 2-0 in Mid-American Conference play when it travels to Kalamazoo, Michigan to face Western Michigan University Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the game will be televised on the Thundering Herd/ISP Sports Network (WSAZ-TV in the Huntington/Charleston market).
 The Thundering Herd 5-4 overall, will be looking to rebound from a 78-60 loss to Auburn last Saturday in Mobile, Ala. Marshall is being led by senior J.R. VanHoose who is scoring 18 points per game and grabbing a team-high 12.3 rebounds per outing.
 Western Michigan (6-3 overall, 0-0 in the MAC) has won six of its last seven games and is being paced by Robby McCullum. McCullum is contributing a team-high 12.3 points and 2.9 assists per game. The Broncos are a perfect 3-0 at University Arena this season and own wins over Michigan (79-73 at home) and Virginia Tech (55-51 in Blacksburg).
 The contest will be Marshall?s last game before Christmas. The Herd will return to action by hosting UMass December 29th. Tip-off for Marshall-UMass is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
 The UMass game will also be ?Youth Sports Night? at the Henderson Center. Any child in the Eighth grade or below that wears a youth league jersey from any sport will be admitted to the game for $1 with a paying adult. Limit one child per adult.
