Marshall Cross Country To Run in NCAA Regionals

HUNTINGTON, WV--The Marshall men and women?s cross country teams look to rebound after finishing 12th and 13th at the Mid-American Conference Championships. Both teams will compete in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships Saturday at the Canaan Valley State Park Golf Course in Davis, WV.
Running for the men will be Eric Anderson, Brent Garrett, Greg Howard, Mike Jones and Jason Pyles. The women will be sending eight runners including, Stephanie Achilles, Varinka Barbini, Lauren Black, Sarah Corley, Whitney Daniel, Stephanie Eastman, Ryann Metheny and Shelby Pride.
Eastman led the way for the Thundering Herd in the MAC Championships, placing 56th with a time of 19:09. Garrett was the top finisher for the men at 69th with a time of 26:45.
The event is hosted by West Virginia University.
