Men's Basketball Exhibition Game Set for Saturday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University?s men?s basketball team may have its hands full when it takes on Branch West Basketball Academy in exhibition action Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Cam Henderson Center.
Branch West is coming off of a 92-67 win at UCLA on Wednesday night. Branch West features former college players, and is led by six-foot-one guard Doug Gottlieb who played collegiate basketball at Oklahoma State and six-foot-four foward Nate Pondexter who played collegiately at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. Pondexter scored a game-high 21 points in Branch West?s victory over UCLA. In that game, Branch West shot better than 50% from three-point range.
All tickets for the game are general admission $5 and the game will serve as the final choose-a-seat night of the year. Some new seat locations have become available, due to recent moves made by other season ticket holders. Marshall athletic ticket office staff located in the main ticket office and on the concourse level will be able to assist fans interested in purchasing season tickets at the game. Marshall will open regular season play on November 22nd at Niagara. The Thundering Herd will play its home opener versus Kentucky State on November 25th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this game and all other Thundering Herd home games will go on sale Monday, November 18th.
