2/12/2002
The Marshall University women's basketball team continues MAC play Wednesday night when they travel to Buffalo to take on the Bulls at Alumni Arena.
The Herd enter Wednesday night's game with a 6-16 overall record, 2-8 in conference play. Marshall hopes to improve its shooting percentage from their last outing against Eastern Michigan, a game they lost 57-44. MU shot a season-low 26.2% (16-for-61) from the floor in that matchup. Junior guard Ida Dotson, who set a career high for steals with seven swipes against EMU, leads the Herd into Wednesday's game, averaging 13.5 points per game.
The Bulls are coming off a 72-59 loss at Western-Division leading Ball State, dropping their overall record to 9-14 and 4-8 in MAC play. Buffalo, who leads the Mid-American Conference play in scoring defense (59.3 ppg), are led by Jessica Korchendorfer, who averages 15 points per game. The Bulls have lost four in row heading into Wednesday's game.
The Buffalo-Marshall game tips off at 7 p.m. at Alumni Arena.
