Marshall University Spring Softball Classic Presented by Hampton Inn Cancelled

Huntington, W.Va.- The Marshall University Spring Softball Classic Presented by Hampton Inn was cancelled today due to inclimate weather. Four contests were scheduled to take place on Sunday, including two contests by the host Marshall team. The games will not be rescheduled.

The tournament was the first annual and was played on Marshall's Dot Hicks field. Rain interrupted the tournament throughout the weekend as there was a rain delay each day of scheduled play.

The Thundering Herd return to action on Tuesday, March 19 as they travel to Morehead State University to take on the Eagles at 2:00 p.m.
