Cross Country Releases 2002 Schedule

Huntington, W. Va.--Marshall University head track and field coach Jeff Small announced the 2002 Cross Country schedule today. The schedule is highlighted by a dual meet with rival Ohio University on September 7.
Other highlights of the schedule include a meet with the University of Kentucky on August 30 in Versailles, Kent.
Marshall will then travel to N. Car. on September 28 for the Greensboro Cross Country Invitational. This meet is followed by the Eastern Kentucky Invitational in Richmond, Kent. on October 11 and the Furman Invitational in Greenville , S. Car., on October 12.
Marshall will then compete in the MAC Championships for cross country, which kick off on November 2 in Oxford, Ohio.
The NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet will take place on November 11. The location for this meet has yet to be announced. The track and field season will then conclude on November 25 when the NCAA Championships take place in Terre Haute, Ind.
Last season, the Thundering Herd men and women both finished 9th in the MAC Championships.
