Marshall Places Three on Ole Miss Invitational All-Tournament Team

OXFORD, Miss.-The Marshall University women?s soccer team placed three players on the Ole Miss Invitational All-Tournament Team. Forward Ashley Schillig, midfielder Jaime Gruber and defender Lauren Scott earned the honor for the Herd.
Marshall went 1-1 in the tournament, falling to host Ole Miss 2-0 in the opener and rebounding to defeat Southern Miss 2-1.
Schillig, a freshman from New Albany, Ohio, recorded four shots, two shots on goal and scored one goal for the Herd in two matches last weekend. Gruber, a freshman from Hudson, Ohio, had two shots and one assist on the weekend. Last year?s 1st Team All-MAC honoree, Scott, returned to her competitive ways as she led the Herd on defense.
Marshall will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 7, as they travel to Greensboro, N.C. to take on UNC-Greensboro.
