STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has placed Marshall 7th in the country based on cumulative team grade-point averages for the 2002-2003 academic year.
The 2003 Mid-American Conference regular season champs got it done on the field notching an all-time high 41 wins and in the classroom with a 3.40 gpa.
Marshall joined fellow MAC members Eastern Michigan (9th) and Ball State (10th) on the list.
