Herd Swim Team Opens With Green/White Scrimmage

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University women's swimming team held it's annual Green/White intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday at the Nathanial A. Fitch Natatorium.
Freshman, Emily Edmonson (Chattanooga Tenn.), led all Herd swimmers with first place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (25.0), the 100-yard freestyle (55.2), and the 500-yard freestyle (5:29.7).
Sophomore, Milla Kuurto (Lohja, Finland), led the Green team with first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.1) and the 200 IM (2:14.0). Kuurto was also a member of both the first place 200-yard medley relay team (1:53.3) and the first place 200-yard freestyle relay team(1:34.2).
The Herd opens the regular season Saturday at Youngstown State at 2:00p.m.
