Marshall Hosts Akron Wednesday

Marshall University's men's basketball team will host the University of Akron Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Marshall (10-10 overall, 6-6 MAC) is coming off of a 56-54 win over Bowling Green and will be looking to add to its current 1/2 game lead over Akron in the MAC East standings.

Akron (10-10 overall, 5-6 MAC) had won three straight before dropping a 99-92 decision to MAC West leader Central Michigan last Saturday.

The Zips are led by Derrick Tarver. The junior guard averages 22.9 points per game and ranks among the top scorers in the conference.
