HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Two of Marshall Athletics' all-time greats Jon Elmore and Rachel Folden have been inducted into the Conference USA Hall of Fame Class of 2026. The league announced its class on Wednesday, which can be viewed HERE.
Elmore earned CUSA Tournament MVP after leading Marshall Men's Basketball to the league title in 2018 and its first NCAA Tournament berth in 31 years. Folden is Marshall Softball's only two-time league player of the year, winning the CUSA's highest honor in 2006 and 2008.
Elmore, the Charleston, West Virginia native ended his career with 2,638 points (second-most in program history) and 783 assists (all-time leader in program history), both all-time CUSA marks, with 356 makes from behind the arc, the most in program history and second-most in CUSA history. Elmore was also a three-time First-Team All-CUSA honoree.
A 2019 inductee in the Marshall Athletics Hall of Fame, Folden's first CUSA Player of the Year honor in 2006 coincided with Marshall Softball's first season in the league. The Baldwin Park, Calif. native won the award again in 2008, making Folden one of three players in league history to win the award multiple times. Her .405 average as a sophomore to senior from 2006-08 still ranks tied for 4th in the league's history. Folden is also 3rd in the league's record book in slugging percentage (.811) and Top-10 in home runs (49) and walks (127). She also received All-Conference USA academic honors each season.
