Swim Team Travels to Bowling Green for Tri-Meet

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. -- In the final regular season meet of Marshall University's newest sport, the women's swimming and diving team is preparing to take on Bowling Green and Akron in a Mid-American Conference tri-meet at BGSU's Cooper Pool on Saturday.
Marshall (5-7, 0-6 MAC) and Bowling Green are still in search of their first conference wins of the season, while Akron posted its lone MAC win on Nov. 2, versus Buffalo.
The Herd's newly crowned MAC Co-Swimmer of the Week Milla Kuurto will attempt to end the regular season as the MAC's top competitor in the 100-yard butterfly (55.55) and the 200 freestyle (1:51.79). Kuurto improved her stellar time in the 100 fly and took over the top spot in the 200 free at last Saturday's meet at the University of Toledo.
Saturday's meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
