Thundering Herd Men Face Kent State Thursday

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Marshall will face the #2 seeded Kent State Golden Flashes in Mid-American Conference men's quarterfinal action Thursday at noon in Cleveland's Gund Arena.

Kent won the MAC East regular season title with a 12-6 conference mark. The Flashes are 19-8 overall and feature All-MAC forward Antonio Gates who averages 20.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

This will be the third meeting between the two schools this season. Marshall downed Kent in Huntington on Feb.25th (80-67) and Kent topped Marshall at home on Jan. 18th (71-58).

The winner of Thursday's contest advances to take on the winner of the Ohio-Miami quarterfinal.
