Women's Tennis Hosts Three Opponents This Weekend

Huntington, W.Va.-Looking to rebound off a tough loss to Virginia Tech University, the Marshall University women?s tennis team will host three matches this weekend, two against conference foes. Marshall will face Bowling Green State University and Morehead State University in a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, and will take on Ball State University at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5.

Marshall enters with a record of 8-7, and is currently 2-0 in conference play. Marshall recently lost 4-3 to Virginia Tech but has won three of their last four matches, including conference victories over the University of Akron and the University at Buffalo.

Bowling Green and Ball State both enter the weekend with conference marks of 1-3. Currently, Ball State is 7-8 overall, while Bowling Green is 6-9 on the season.

The Cardinals and the Falcons are both coming off a pair of conference losses last weekend, losing to Western Michigan University and Northern Illinois University.

Morehead State enters with a record of 6-7 overall and is looking to stretch their winning streak after a 6-1 victory over Cumberland (Ky.) College.

Admission to all three matches is free and will be held at the Henderson Center Tennis Courts.
