Herd Swimming and Diving Falls to Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Marshall University's women's swimming and diving team was defeated today by Bowling Green University, 203-95.
Leading the way for the Herd was sophomore Milla Kuurto (Lohja, Finland) with top finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.61), the 500-yard freestyle (5:04.63) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.46).
In diving sophmore Casey Mulholland (Stone Mountain, Ga.) captured first place in 1-meter diving (235.95) and second in the 3-meter (246.60).
The Falcons were led by Brittany O'Connor who placed first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.45) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.19) Also, Dana Schultz had top finishes in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.21) and the 100-yard butterfly (58.71).
The Thundering Herd will next be in action on January 31 when they travel to Athens, Ohio to take on the Ohio University Bobcats. Start time is set for 4:00 p.m.
