Swimming and Diving to Play Host to WVU and Xavier

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University women's swimming and diving team will play host to intra-state rival West Virginia University and Xavier in a double dual meet on Friday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m.

This is the first meeting between Marshall and WVU since Marshall reinstated its program in 2002.

The Herd defeated Xavier last season, 55-40, in Cincinnati. Senior Erika Nilsson (Haninge, Sweden) led the way for the Herd finishing first in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:39.54), the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.46) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:12.42).

Admission is free to the public.
