Marshall did not give up and would score a touchdown on their next drive to cut the lead to seven. Ahmad Bradshaw scored on a five yard run to bring the Herd back into the game. After another Falcon touchdown put the herd down 28-14, Hill guided the team on a six play 80 yard touchdown drive, capped off by a 38 yard touchdown pass to Brad Bates.
