Seniors Honored At Men's Basketball Banquet

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University men's basketball team held their end-of-the-year banquet Tuesday night at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Huntington. Two Herd seniors, Ardo Armpalu (Rapla, Estonia) and Marvin Black (Cleveland, Ohio), were honored for their commitment to Marshall basketball, while individual awards were given out to the season's top performers.
Armpalu was honored with the Cebe Price Most Courageous Award after overcoming an eye and ankle injury this season. He also captured the Neal B. "Whitey" Wilson Student Athlete Award with a career 3.6 GPA.
Black won the Russell Lee Leading Scorer Award, the Charlie Slack Rebounding Award, and the Walt Walowac Most Outstanding Player Award.
