Ball State and BGSU Next for Herd Tennis

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ? The Marshall University women?s tennis team will travel to Muncie, Indiana, to take on the Ball State Cardinals on Friday, April 9 and then wrap up the weekend at Bowling Green State, Saturday, April 10. Both matches are scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.

Marshall is looking to rebound from a tough 2-5 loss to the 36th ranked University of South Carolina on April 7. The Herd now has a 15-4 overall record and is 5-0 in the Mid-American Conference heading into the weekend match-ups.

MU?s Alice Sukner, Joelle Good, Lille Nzudie and Danielle Hock are all undefeated in conference singles play, and all three Marshall doubles teams are undefeated in the MAC as well. Currently the Herd is on a 14 conference match winning streak. The Herd is ranked 46th in the latest Intercollegiate poll, and showcases the 28th ranked doubles team in the nation of Jessica Johnson and Ashley Kroh.

The Ball State Cardinals are entering the match Friday with a 10-6 overall record and 4-2 MAC record. The Cardinals defeated Northern Illinois 4-3 last weekend and are currently in fourth place in the MAC.

Bowling Green State comes into the match with a 9-9 record overall and 3-3 in conference play. Last time out the Falcons lost to Northern Illinois 7-0.

Last season the Herd defeated the Cardinals and Falcons 7-0. Marshall is currently tied for first place in the MAC with Western Michigan.
