Recruiting Class Grabs Regional Honor

NEW YORK, NY -- Second-year women?s soccer head coach Chris Kane?s first recruiting class at Marshall University snagged an impressive No. 22 ranking in the Great Lakes Region by SoccerBuzz Magazine, announced Monday, July 26.
Kane, who will welcome 15 newcomers in August, is excited by the recognition.
?We are very revved up about this recruiting class,? Kane said. ?The class, as a whole, will bring a wealth of talent and add a great deal of versatility to the squad.?
Other Mid-American Conference teams ranked in the top 25 include Kent State (13th), Toledo (14th), Ohio (17th), Miami (OH) (21st) and Eastern Michigan (23rd).
The Herd will play a scrimmage at the University of Pittsburgh on Aug. 21 before officially kicking off the season against Kane?s alma mater, LaSalle University, in Philadelphia on Aug. 27 at 3 p.m.
