Women's Golf Finishes Eighth At Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Thundering Herd women's golf team posted a three-round team score of 930 at this weekend's Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic, which was good enough for an eighth place finish. UNC Wilmington fired a tournament course record final round of 288 to claim the team title with a total score of 891.
Amber Churchill (Dublin, Ohio) led the Herd with a 226 (74-78-74), which tied her for 12th place. Allyson Hatcher (Wheeling, W.Va.) finished in a tie for 15th place with a final score of 228 (75-78-75), while Tammy Mahar (Ashland, Ky.) tied for 50th with a 239 (78-82-79). Sheena Caron (Bolt, W.Va.) and Whitney Wolejko (Hatfield, Mass.) rounded out the Herd contingent with a 240 (80-81-79, T-54) and a 242 (83-79-80, T-60), respectively.
Michelle Jarman from UNC Wilmington won medalist honors with a six-under par, 210 (70-69-71).
Marshall competes next at the University of Kentucky's Wildcat Fall Inviational October 1st-3rd.
