Herd Women's Soccer Entertains SMU and Tulsa This Weekend

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall women's soccer plays host to SMU on Friday at 8 p.m. and Tulsa on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Marshall enters the weekend with a record of 1-13-0 overall and 0-6-0 in conference play.

The Mustangs (10-4-1/4-1-0) are currently in first place in the conference. The only C-USA loss the Mustangs have suffered this season came from Rice in a 2-1 defeat. SMU most recently defeated UTEP, 2-1, on Oct. 14 and Tulane, 2-0, on Oct. 16. The Mustangs' Kimber Bailey is tied for first in the league in goals scored with 13.

Tulsa (7-7-2/2-3-0) will play East Carolina Friday night before traveling to Huntington on Sunday. The Golden Hurricane split its games last weekend with a win over Tulane, 2-0, and a loss to UTEP, 3-0. Goalkeeper Meredith Hart leads C-USA in shutouts with six in 16 games.

The Herd suffered two losses in its last time out. On Oct. 14, Marshall fell to Southern Miss, 3-0, at Hattiesburg, Miss. UCF defeated the Herd, 3-0, on Oct. 16 in Orlando, Fla.
