OXFORD, Ohio - The Thundering Herd travel to Oxford, Ohio, to take on the Miami University RedHawks Tuesday night at Millett Hall. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.

Marshall and Miami will meet for the 74th time in series that dates back to the 1932-33 season. The RedHawks lead the all-time series between the two schools, 46-27, and have won three out of the last four meetings. Since re-entering the MAC in 1997-98, Marshall is 4-11 overall against Miami, and 1-6 at Millett Hall. The Thundering Herd?s lone win in Oxford since 1997-98 came on Feb. 23rd, 2000, when Marshall defeated the RedHawks, 87-78.

Miami enters Tuesday?s game leading the MAC East Division with a 10-3 league record, 15-6 overall. The RedHawks lead the MAC in scoring defense, allowing only 63.3 points per game, and field goal percentage defense at 41.6%. Miami also leads the league in three-point field goal percentage at 41.2%. Danny Horace leads the RedHawks, averaging nearly a double-double with 15.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game, which ranks him 10th in the MAC in scoring and first in rebounding. Chet Mason is next for Miami with 13.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest, and William Hatcher rounds out Redhawk players averaging double-digits with 10.8 points per game.

The RedHawks had a seven game winning streak stopped by Ohio at the Convocation Center Saturday afternoon, 61-57, in their last time out. Miami committed 15 turnovers, against Ohio?s nine, and the Bobcats got 11 steals against the RedHawks. Doug Penno led Miami with 15 points off of the RedHawk bench, with William Hatcher (14) and Monty St. Clair (10) also scoring in double-digits. Miami?s leading scorers, Danny Horace and Chet Mason, were held to 15 combined points, 13 below their average.

The Herd enters Tuesday's game with a 5-17 overall record, 2-11 in the Mid-American Conference, after dropping a 90-70 decision to Western Michigan on Saturday afternoon in Kalamazoo, ending a Marshall two-game winning streak. The Broncos shot a blistering 53.1% from the floor and 47.4% from beyond-the-arc in the contest. Senior forward David Anderson led Marshall with a solid game - 16 points, seven rebounds, and one steal against only one turnover. Junior post player LaVar Carter (Louisville, Ky.) was the only other Herd player in double-figures with ten points (4-of-9 from the floor).

Anderson has given Marshall some solid minutes over the last three games. Anderson has averaged 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds, and had only one turnover over that span. From the floor, the Levittown, Puerto Rico native has made 14 of his 20 shots, a 70% clip, in the last three games.

Mark Patton (Barboursville, W.Va.) leads Marshall in scoring and rebounding, averaging 11.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. A.W. Hamilton (Georgetown, Ky.) averages 10.9 points per contest, and freshman Joe Miles (Forestville, Md.) pours in 10.6 per game.
