HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ? Marshall University Head Coach Leonard Kraus announces the signing of Michaela Sceli. A transfer from Southern Illinois, Sceli will join the women?s swimming and diving team for the 2005-2006 season.

The Kitchener, Ontario native was a conference champion in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.10) and a runner-up in the 200-yard event with a time of 2:20.97 while at SIU.

"With Michaela and [current Marshall swimmer] Milla (Kuurto) we could have the best middle on medley relays in the conference," Kraus said. "I believe that Michaela has the talent and the drive to continue to improve her times and she should be a strong competitor for us as we enter into Conference USA."
