LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- Two Marshall University cross country runners, Jon Nelson and Marian Brooks, ran to top 100 finishes at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet Saturday at Lock Haven University. The men's squad placed 17th and the women 26th in the last meet of the season.
Nelson's team leading time of 32:49.1 was just one second off of his personal best in the 10k race. Matt Null was the second male runner to cross the finish line with a time of 33:10.6 for 102nd place.
Brooks ran to a 61st place finish with her time of 22:14.5. Allison Cox recorded the second-best team finish of the day with a time of 22:29.9. The women ran a 6k course.
Georgetown claimed the men's crown and Princeton took the women's.
