Women's Golf to Tee Off at EKU Spring Invitational

RICHMOND, Ky. - The Marshall women's golf team will be competing at the EKU Spring Invitational at Arlington Golf Course beginning on Thursday morning, its final tournament before the Conference USA Championship.
The 54-hole tournament, played at Eastern Kentucky's par-72, 6,686-yard home course, features 14 teams. The Herd joins the host Colonels, Austin Peay, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Murray State, Northern Colorado, Oakland, Ohio, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Toledo, West Georgia and Western Kentucky.
Murray State won last year's event, hosted by EKU for the 13th straight year.
Marshall is coming off of a fifth place finish at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational in Crystal River, Fla. Junior Stacy Wagner (Harmony, Pa.) was MU's high finisher, placing 17th with a two-round 168.
The teams are scheduled to play one round on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start scheduled for each morning.
