Cross Country Travels to Loyola University Chicago

HUNTINGTON- Members of the Marshall men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the 34th Annual Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Classic on Sept. 30 hosted by Loyola University Chicago.
The race has two collegiate divisions, the gold and maroon. Marshall will compete in the gold division along with all other Division I schools and ranked Division II, III, NAIA and Canadian schools. The maroon division is comprised of all unranked DII, DIII, NAIA and Canadian schools.
The course is laid out on the shore of Lake Michigan and will start and finish at the Montrose Avenue Beach House. The women will run a 5k course starting at 1 p.m. and the men will compete in an 8k course at 12:15 p.m.
Last year, Marshall's top finishers were Jon Nelson, 93rd place, on the men's side and Marian Brooks, 123rd place, on the women's side.
The top 25 finishers of each race will receive awards at the conclusion of the meet. Results will be posted at www.loyolaramblers.com after 4 p.m. CT.
