Women's Hoops To Hold Open Practice On Saturday

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - Marshall head women's basketball coach Royce Chadwick announced that the team will hold an open practice from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at the Cam Henderson Center. The practice is the first of the Thundering Herd's 2007-08 campaign.

All fans are invited to the practice where members of the team will be introduced and fans will have the opportunity to meet the players following the practice.

The Herd will host its first exhibition match against Kentucky State on October 31 at 7 p.m. before hosting West Virginia Wesleyan on November 4 at 6 p.m. in its final preseason tune-up.

Marshall opens up the regular season with a trip to Evansville on November 9 for the first round of the Preseason WNIT. This marks the Herd's first invitation to the prestigious tournament.

Three starters and eight letterwinners return from last year's 15-15 team.
