Marshall head coach Royce Chadwick
"I thought we were on again, off again. A big part of that has to do with that we've had a game on the road Friday, we're here Sunday then back on the road Tuesday. This is about reaching deep inside yourself and pulling out the things that get a W and I was really happy for our team that we were able to get it done. Our bench made some huge contributions today. " "Our bench could be out there to start the game. We have starters up and down the line. I told them after the game; it's amazing what can be accomplished if nobody cares who get the credit."
"We have girls on our bench that could easily be out there during the tip but yet they except their role so we can prosper and when their number comes up, they make something happen."
On improvements in the post:
"I'm really excited because we have a great group of post players. It depends on the game and what we need but everyone has stepped up and has done a really good job in the paint. You go back to earlier in the year, we were getting dominated in rebounding. As a team we've become a better rebounding team, we're not dominating anyone on the boards but we're not getting dominated any more. That's why we're able to win basketball games; it makes all the difference in the world."
"We didn't start exceptionally fast this season but you know in college basketball it's not how you start, its how you finish. We need to keep moving in the right direction. By the end of non-conference we will have played 10 road games and four home games, that's brutal but it will leave benefits for next year. I think this team is getting tougher with each game they play."
Junior Casey Baker
"I'm really a defensive player, I like playing defense. When my shot's not falling , I pick up on defense and try to distribute the ball more."
On Jam the Cam VII:
"I thought it was really exciting to see everyone come out and cheer for us. That's always exciting."
