HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Women's Basketball is set for its first exhibition of the 2026-27 season on Friday against UPIKE at 6 p.m. in the Cam Henderson Center.

Juli Fulks enters her third season at the helm of the Herd coming off a season that ended with a program-record 28 wins and a 2026 WNIT Championship.

This season's roster features seven returners and seven newcomers. Among the returners are Leyocha Marigney and Olivia Olson. Marigney, a senior from Fresno, California, led the Herd in blocks with 57, the fourth most in a season in program history.

Olson returns for her sophomore season. The native of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is coming off a 2025-26 campaign that was cut short by injury after starting in all 16 games she played in while averaging 12.9 PPG with 42 made three-pointers. Olsen tallied a career-high 26 points in overtime victory over JMU (Dec. 20) and finished in double-digit scoring in 13 of 16 games played.

One newcomer for the Herd is Cassie Gallagher. The redshirt sophomore led USC Upstate in scoring at 15.7 points per game starting all 31 games she played in and earning a Second-Team All-Big South honor.

Anaya Harris also comes to Huntington after being a Second-Team All-Big South honoree after the 2025-26 season as a junior at Gardner-Webb. Harris led the Runnin' Bulldogs with 12.8 per games in 30 games played, starting all 30.

Transferring from Northern Kentucky, Maddie Moody made 32 appearances with 29 starts for the Norse as she averaged 10.0 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 41.1% from the field while being named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team.
