Women's Golf to Compete at William & Mary Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Marshall women's golf team will compete in the William & Mary Invitational this weekend at the 6,030-yard, par-72 Ford's Colony Country Club. The 36-hole event will begin on Saturday at 8 a.m. and will conclude on Sunday.

Marshall will enter the event with Amber Churchill, Allyson Hatcher, Stacy Wagner, Larie Lynch and Whitney Wolejko.

Churchill, a senior, leads the Herd thus far in the spring season with an 80.2 stroke average. Hatcher, also a senior, is second on the team with an 82.2 average.

In its last outing, Marshall placed ninth in the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational on March 12-13.

The 18-team field includes Winthrop, Columbia, Bucknell, Monmouth, Methodist, Penn State, Western Michigan, Boston College, Penn, Appalachian State, Towson, Marshall, Old Dominion, Xavier, Radford, Cleveland State, Virginia "B" and host William & Mary.
