Marshall Women's Soccer Defeat the Dukes, 1-0

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Marshall women's soccer team closed out the 2007 preseason exhibition matches victorious with a 2-0 record after defeating Duquesne University, 1-0 Saturday at Arthur J. Rooney Field.

Marshall junior Erin Johnson (Mansfield, Ohio) scored the Herd's only goal in the first half as she received a pass from teammate Kassie Hollman (Marietta, Ga.) to defeat the Dukes.

The Thundering Herd travels to Dover, Del. to face Delaware State to open regular season action. The match is set for Friday, August 31st at 6:00 p.m.
