Marshall Women's Tennis Concludes Action at the UVa Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Marshall women's tennis team concluded play at the inaugural University of Virginia Invitational on Sunday at the Snyder Tennis Center. Marshall's Kellie Schmitt (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tied with William and Mary's Katarina Zorici and South Carolina's Gira Schofield for the top spot in Flight A singles with 24 points.
In addition to Schmitt's top spot, the Herd brought home points in five other flights. In Flight C doubles action, Marshall's duos of Schwartz/Moore, Raich/Keener and Raich/Schwartz all ended with four points, which tied them with five other school pairs.
The Herd's Isabell Raich tied two other singles players in Flight D with six points. Jeanne Schwartz earned third place with four points in singles Flight E action. Marshall's Jessica Keener (Reston, Va.) and Kassie Moore ended the weekend with one point in Flights F and G singles play.
