Royce Chadwick
On the game:
"I thought our defensive intensity in the first half was good. Our crowd was really loud and we're really helped getting our girls going. I thought we had some people rise to the occasion and took the scouting report to heart. I thought Casey was very good to start the game, playing on the defensive end. I thought Kizzy was very good at the start of the game at the defensive end. I thought that set the tone for the rest of our tea m defensively. We had a lot of people make contributions to this team. I think it was pretty obvious ECU had an off shooting night and hopefully our defense gains a little confidence, because of that."
On Marshall's Defense:
"I thought our defense to start the game set the tone for us and we were able to pick up that intensity and continue it throughout the game. We're an inexperienced team, but we have some older players and it's important for us to come out and start right so we can pick it up from there."
On the success of both men's and women's basketball at Marshall:
"I can't tell you how happy I am for Donnie and Markel , they're playing really well. The things they've accomplished down the stretch is mental toughness and that helps my team. My girls can watch that and say man look at how hard they are playing and how well they are playing. It just makes us all better. I'm very excited for them and we're just glad we can hold up our end and go out and win some basketball games. I don't care what you're record is, but when you're playing at home you have a chance to win.
