Erik Paz Named Herd's Assistant Director of Compliance

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Erik Paz has been named Assistant Compliance Director at Marshall University, Associate Athletic Director for Compliance Derek Gwinn announced today.
Paz, 22, joined the Marshall compliance staff in May of 2008 as a graduate assistant before his promotion this month. He previously served as a compliance intern at the University of Miami under former MU compliance director David Reed. Paz's duties at Miami included monitoring recruiting, playing and practice season, eligibility and assisting in rules education. He was also an intricate member of the UM student body, serving two terms as the president of the association of commuter students and being a part of the Deans' First-Year Review Committee.
Paz's extensive work in monitoring and rules compliance earned him the position at Marshall.
A Miami, Fla., native, Paz earned his bachelor of science in sport administration at the University of Miami and is currently finishing his graduate work in athletic administration at Marshall.
