Women's Golf To Host Annual Lady Herd Fall Classic

HURRICANE, W.Va. - The Thundering Herd women's golf team is set to host the Lady Herd Fall Classic at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane, W.Va.
The tournament is set for Monday and Tuesday. The action begins with a 10 a.m. shotgun start on Monday while Tuesday's start time is at 9.
Aside from Marshall, 11 teams are scheduled to participate including Southern Miss, Ohio U., Cincinnati and Morehead State.
This will mark the second tournament of the year for Marshall. In the season opening Great Smokies Intercollegiate, which took place three weeks ago, the Herd posted a 13th place finish.
Sophomore Kristina Garrett was Marshall's top performer, placing 40th overall with a seven-over 151. She led the Herd with a three-over 75 in the second and final day of the tournament.
Freshman Kaci Boyd had the top single-round score for MU, shooting a 73 in the opening day en route to a total of 153.
