Women's Golf To Wrap Up Fall Season

GULF SHORES, Ala. - The Marshall University women's golf team will wrap up the fall season, traveling to Gulf Shores, Alabama for the UAB Fall Beach Blast.

The tournament is set to take place on Monday and Tuesday.

Among the schools scheduled to participate are Belmont, Columbia, Samford, Lipscomb, Southern Miss, UTSA and Indiana State.

Marshall returns to action following a three-week layoff. The Thundering Herd last played on October 13 and 14 at the Richmond Spider Invite.

The Herd posted a 12th place finish in that tournament, led by Larie Lynch's 19th place finish. Freshman Maria Battaglia and Rachel Halloran finished nine shots behind Lynch, each hitting a 164, tied for 50th overall.

Following the tournament, the team will be out of action until February 22 when it travels to Kiawah Island, S.C. for the Kiawah Island Invitational.
