Marshall Finishes Day Two at Miami Invitational

OXFORD, Ohio - Junior Jenny Johnsson and diver Siobhan Schuurman led the Thundering Herd swimming and diving team on day two of the Miami Invitational as the pair reached the finals of the women's 400-yard Individual Medley and three-meter dive respectively.
Schuurman posted the best finish of any Herd competitor with a second-place finish in the one-meter, scoring a 259.45 in the finals.
Johnsson swam a season-best 4:34.85 in the 400 IM to reach the finals of the event. The time came on the heels of a career-best performance in the mile on Thursday.
Among other Marshall swimmers to reach the finals of their events Friday was senior Kayla Truswell who recorded a time of 2:09.37 in the finals of the 200-yard butterfly to finish 15th.
Ally Melinsky also reached the finals with a time of 1:08.65 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Other notable performance included Jenae Moreno who led Marshall in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.81. Briana Burs recorded a 25.00 flat in the women's 50-yard freestyle, followed by Kyla Jungclaus with a 25.18
