"I thought our kids played exceptionally hard. I thought that we didn't play as crisply as we needed to down the stretch defensively because they can make plays one-on-one and they did it over and over again. We were much better when we ran the ball and we had one to many turnovers in the half court set. We did a lot of good things. I told them that we were three plays away and when you look at 90 opportunities to make a play at both ends of the floor. We don't have much further to go to get to where we want to be. I think it's very evident that we missed our center and we missed Meg Withrow. Now that we've played without them, we should be more acclimatized to not having them. Hopefully we can come back and get the job done Sunday."
On the team getting down in the second half...
"I think that 14 was hitting threes and when your six-foot and trying to guard her she can shoot it over you anytime she chooses. I thought a couple of times we dropped our head when she hit shots. That's kind of been our M.O. that we drop our head when something bad happens and then when something else happens it exacerbates it. I thought we kept fighting and stayed in it."
On defending Izabela Piekarska...
"We were trying to be physical with her in the paint and we were trying to be on top of her when she caught it on the perimeter. She's a match up problem for us of epic proportions. We talked about it at halftime that she shouldn't get another three. We talked about it again during a timeout."
On the return of Alix Barnette
"I thought Alex played really well. I thought she came in and helped the team. It's the hardest thing to do to come off the bench. It's a whole lot easier to start. You want to go in and make a positive contribution. You want to be the one not to turn it over and not be the one who makes the defensive error. You've got to got out there and have the attitude that I'm the girl who is going to go down there and make a play. I going to be very intense and get the knots out and go play."
On the Herd's inconsistent play...
"I think that we could beat any team in this conference if we're on our game. It's really frustrating to win one and then lose two. It just gets old. We need to pick it up and get back-to-back wins and win the rest of our games."
On the cold shooting in the second half...
"They were just trying to keep shooting and keep scoring. That's what you're supposed to do if your shot isn't falling. They just weren't going for us."
