Pinehurst Challenge Up Next For Women's Golf

PINEHURST, N.C. - The Marshall University women's golf team will return to action this weekend, participating in the Pinehurst Challenge, which will be hosted by the College of Charleston in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
The event will take place on Monday and Tuesday on Pinehurst #6.
Last weekend, the team opened up its spring season at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate. Forty-three teams participated in the tournament, the largest intercollegiate event in the country.
Larie Lynch led the way for Marshall, finishing with a three-round total of 247. Six shots behind Lynch was Molly Ginger, who shot a 253.
Rachel Halloran finished with a 257 while Maria Battaglia and Mary Oliver both shot a 257.
Twenty teams will make up the field, including Ohio State, Maryland, Vanderbilt, TCU and Baylor. Conference USA foes Memphis and East Carolina are also set to participate.
