HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - With the home schedule behind them, the Marshall University softball team will be on the road for the last week of the regular season starting with a nonconference doubleheader at Ohio.
The Thundering Herd (27-17) is coming off senior weekend where the team took one of out three against East Carolina while the Bobcats (21-20) lost the last two games to Ball State at home.

Since Marshall began playing softball in 1994, the two teams have met in every season except 1995. The former Mid-American Conference rivals each own a home series lead as the Herd is 15-6 in Huntington while the Bobcats sit at 10-6 in Athens. The two teams are even at neutral sites, 1-1.
Last season, the two met in Huntington splitting the doubleheader. Marshall took game one 8-5 and Ohio with game two 3-2. In 2007, the Herd took two games during its last trip to Ohio.
