Women's Golf to Play In Indiana Invitational Tournament

COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Marshall University women's golf team will be back on the course beginning on Monday when it travels to Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus, Indiana for the Indiana Invitational.

Play begins Monday morning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Monday's action consists of two rounds. On Tuesday, play begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start with one round being played.

The tournament field is comprised of 15 teams including host Indiana, Texas, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and former Mid-American Conference foes Ball State and Western Michigan.

Last time out, the Herd placed tenth in the UC Spring Invitational, held in Crystal River, Fla. Larie Lynch led the way for Marshall, finishing in a tie for 16th.

Following its trip to Indiana, the Herd will wrap up the season at the Conference USA Championships, which are being hosted by Tulsa.

The two teams will play Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. EST. That will be followed up Sunday with a single game starting at 1 p.m. EST.
