HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Thundering Herd head women's basketball coach Royce Chadwick has announced the signing of guard Mystee Dale to a National Letter of Intent.

Dale, a native of Philadelphia, will transfer to Marshall next fall to begin her junior season. She played at East Central (Miss.) Community College over the last two seasons.

"Mystee is an all around complete player. She is a prolific score, great passer and outstanding ball handler," Coach Chadwick said. "I believe she will have an instant impact on our program next fall."

"Her three-point shooting will add a tremendous dimension that we believe will make us a stronger team. She will be a difference maker for us."

The 5-8 guard led ECCC to the Region 23 Tournament title and a berth in the NJCAA Division I Tournament. She averaged 19.3 points per game as a sophomore, earning NJCAA All-American honors for her work.

Dale was one of the top shooters on the ECCC squad. She connected on 49% of her shots, including a strong 39% from three-point range. Dale was also a solid 73% free throw shooter.

Aside from the All-American honors, Dale was also named All-Region 23, All-State and All-Star. She was also selected to the All-Region 23 Tournament Team for the second-straight season.

Prior to her time at ECCC, Dale played for Choctaw Central High School in Choctaw, Mississippi.
