Lynch Earns Conference USA Female Golfer of the Week

IRVING, Texas - Marshall University's golfer Larie Lynch was named Conference USA's Female Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday by conference officials.

Lynch helped the Herd to a second place finish in the Lady Bison Fall Classic over the weekend, finishing the three rounds with a 929.

Lynch shot a team-low 73 on the final day of the tournament to give MU a nine-stroke advantage over third-place Columbia University.

Lynch improved every round of the tournament and finished in a team-best third place tie, to earn her fifth collegiate top ten finish. Lynch shot a 224 (76-75-73) in the three-round tournament, just four strokes back from the leader who ended with a 220.

Lynch and the rest of the Herd returns to action on September 27th when it travels to the UNCG-Starmount Fall Classic in Greensboro, N.C., for a three day event.
