Softball Releases Fall Schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall University softball head coach Shonda Stanton released the 2009 fall schedule Thursday afternoon.

The schedule includes three intrasquad matchups at Dot Hicks Field and the annual Alumni Game on October 3. Also featured on the slate are games in Lexington, Ky., against 2009 NCAA Regional qualifier Kentucky and Super Regional participant Ohio State.

The Herd will host two home tournaments, with the following participants: Charleston, Wheeling Jesuit, West Virginia State and Shawnee State.

MU will finish the fall schedule when it travels to Athens, Ohio for a doubleheader against Ohio on Oct. 11 with games starting at noon.
