HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- The Marshall University women's golf team will travel to the UNCG-Starmount Golf Club in Greensboro, N.C. to play in the UNCG-Starmount Fall Classic. The three day event begins on Sunday and consists of one round (18 holes) of play on each day. Round one will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Ten teams will be represented in the tournament, host University of North Carolina at Greensboro, James Madison University, Marshall University, North Carolina State, Gardner Webb University, Winthrop University, University of North Carolina Wilmington, Radford University, Campbell University and High Point University. Five of these ten schools will only be bringing individual players and will not be recording a team score.

This is the Herd's first time participating UNCG-Starmount Fall Classic. Last year, in the tournament's second year, host UNCG took first place.

MU is coming off a second place finish at the Lady Bison Fall Classic two weeks ago. The team shot a 929 in the three round, two-day event. Seniors Larie Lynch (Huntington, W.Va.) and Andrea Grier (Hagerstown, Md.) both shot a team-best 73 on the final day to both capture top-10 finishes. Lynch led the Marshall with a 224 overall to tie for third place, while Grier shot a 231 to tie for eighth place.
