Cross Country at Greater Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Marshall University men's and women's cross country team is set for the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday morning hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission.

The women's 5K gets the day started with the gun firing at 9:30 a.m. at the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. The men's 8K follows with start time approximately at 10:15 a.m.

The Thundering Herd looks to follow up a strong performance put in at the Old Timers Classic two weeks ago where the men finished second and the women finished third.

Matt Schiffbauer and David Caldwell on the men's side will pace the Herd, as Leslie Thomas and Heather Saffel look to do the same for the women. This is MU's second to last race before the Conference USA Championships hosted by Tulsa on Nov. 1.
