Women's Golf Heads to the Zippy

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall women's golf travels to Fairlawn, Ohio to take part in the Third Annual Zippy Invite at the Rosemont Country Club on Oct. 11-12.

The 54-hole event is set to tee off at 9:30 a.m., with a shotgun start. 36-holes of continuous play will take place on Monday, with the final round of 18 set for Tuesday.

The 12-team tournament will be hosted by Akron and joined by Bucknell, Bowling Green, Detroit Mercy, Ohio Valley, Cleveland State, Oakland, Ohio, Eastern Kentucky, Cal Poly and Allegheny.

Allison Harper (Columbus, Ohio), Molly Ginger (Centerville, Ohio), Elin Andersson (Stockholm, Sweden), Rachel Thompson (Mansfield, Ohio) and Samantha DiDomenico (Follansbee, W.Va.) will make-up the Herd lineup.

Last time out MU finished 13th at the Cincinnati Fall Classic on Sept. 20-21. Ginger shot a team-low 77 on the second day to finish tied for 22nd. Harper sat just two strokes behind Ginger with a three round total of 236.
