Marshall University Sets Times For All 31 Games

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.--The Marshall University Men's Basketball program has announced the game times for all of 31 regular season contests. Home games against WVU Tech (Nov. 12), Glenville State (Nov. 15), UT-Chattanooga (Nov. 20), Jackson State (Nov. 22), FIU (Nov. 29), James Madison (Dec. 7), Binghamton (Dec. 28), Southern Miss (Jan. 8), East Carolina (Jan. 22), Memphis (Jan. 29), UAB (Feb. 9), Rice (Feb. 16), Tulsa (Feb. 23), SMU (Feb. 26), and UCF (Mar. 5) will start at 7 p.m. The Dec. 19 contest against VMI will get underway at 4 p.m. with the Jan. 10 matchup against Savannah State tipping off at 6 p.m.

The complete schedule is attached. Marshall has announced that five games will be televised. The Jan. 5 game at UCF will be aired at 7 p.m. on Bright House Network with Charter/Comcast Sports South (CSS) airing the game at 8 p.m. Eastern. The Jan. 15 contest at Memphis will air on CSS and get underway at 12 p.m. Eastern. Feb. 1's game at Houston will be shown by CBS College Sports at 9 p.m. Eastern time. The Feb. 5 matchup at Southern Miss will again air on CSS at 6 p.m. Eastern. The Feb. 23 game in which Tulsa travels to Marshall will be aired by CBS College Sports at 7 p.m.

The Marshall Ticket Office has also announced that the remaining basketball season tickets will be put on sale beginning Friday, Oct. 15. The ticket office will be open on Saturday night during Herd Madness for season ticket sales. Saturday's Herd Madness will introduce first year head coach Tom Herrion and his squad. Conference USA Co-Sixth Man of the Year Dago Pena leads seven returning letterwinners as nine newcomers join the Herd. The night will get underway with a series of introductions which will be followed by a two-ball competition.

The two-ball competition will be comprised of several teams of players from the Marshall men's basketball team which will shoot from various locations on the floor with one minute on the clock, each shot location will be worth a variety of points, the team with the most points in one minute will be crowned the winner. The two-ball competition will be followed by a slam dunk contest. A 20-minute scrimmage will wrap up the night.

Upon the completion of the approximately 75-minute event, fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from the Marshall players and coaches. Souvenir roster cards will be distributed at the event that includes on one side for autographs. There will be several prize giveaways throughout the event. Doors will open for Herd Madness at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
